Getting Scotland's colonial status accepted by the UN is not easy and is not quick. The arguments may appear legal but are profoundly political. But the UK's support of the genocide in Gaza, its slashing of development aid budgets, hardline rhetoric on immigration and its irrational approach to Brexit have made the UK a deeply unpopular state at the UN.
Ultimately, Scotland needs friends at the United Nations. They need to know the move to independence could unfold very rapidly. We need friends, and through this activity we are winning them fast.
